(chorus) I don’t want no cigarettes - I don’t know
what to do -
I don’t want no cigarettes I’m tellin’ you it’s true.
I don’t want no cigarettes - But then sometimes I do -
I don’t want no cigarettes I’ve got the nicotine blues.
I used to smoke three packs a day for a dozen years or so - then I heard of that nicotine gum - I thought I’d give it a go. It worked real good I quit for nine years but now I’ve started again. Back up to a pack a day now and I’ve forgotten where I’ve been.
(chorus)
Those companies will tell you - you can’t get hooked on these - but you know if you’re a smoker that quitin is no breeze. Maybe some day will come that I will win the bet - but right now I can tell you - wish I’d never met a cigarette.
(chorus)
Well I figure I’ll try it again that great gum Nicorette. It might just work again now - maybe my best bet. Everything was going great til I heard my doctor say - You’ve had enough of that gum Kim - I’m cuttin’ you off today. (chorus) Stream of consciousness . . .
